ZytoLight ® SPEC NTRK1 Dual Color Break Apart Probe

The ZytoLight ® SPEC NTRK1 Dual Color Break Apart Probe is designed to detect translocations involving the chromosomal region 1q23.1 harboring the NTRK1 gene. NTRK1 rearrangements were shown to be involved in many different tumor types in which more than 40 different fusion partners have been described, resulting in an activated chimeric NTRK1 gene. Tumors presenting NTRK1 gene fusions can be sensitive to targeted therapies with tyrosine kinase inhibitors. The treatment of patients with NTRK1, 2, or 3 fusion-positive cancers with an NTRK inhibitor, such as the FDA-approved drugs larotrectinib or entrectinib, is associated with high response rates, regardless of NTRK gene, fusion partner, and tumor type.
